Everything is slightly cheaper and the lifestyle is far more laid back, but it is the sheer variety of things to do and places to go that really appeals to a broad section of society. France
France is the closest country to the UK, and yet the cultures of the two countries are world apart. It is much more laid back in France, and they appreciate finer culture much more than we do, but that provides a fantastic atmosphere for a break. You can choose from the beaches and warm climate of the South of France, the vineyards of Bordeaux to the cultural delights of Paris. Where you go in France is completely your decision but if you can possibly find time to visit several places then you really should!

The countries of Eastern Europe have done a lot in recent years to improve their facilities for tourists and have done a magnificent job. The facilities in many areas are now first class and you can really relax and enjoy yourself. They are all excellent in terms of culture and activities, with the added bonus that they are very, very cheap! No wonder they are popular!
